Notes and Reminders – December 3

Posted on Wednesday, December, 3rd, 2014 at 8:14 am

MAIS Teachers’ Meeting:  The elementary students will not have school on Friday, December 5.  Our teachers will be at the MAIS Teachers’ Conference.

Christmas Holidays:  The elementary Christmas parties will be held on Thursday, December 18 at 9:30.  Our Christmas holidays will be December 19 – January 4.  We will return to school on Monday, January 5.

RESCHEDULED THANKSGIVING  PROGRAM:  Because we were unable to have our annual Thanksgiving program this year due to the illness of Mrs. Vaughn, we have rescheduled our program.  We will have our program on Thursday, December 18, at 10:30.  The program will last approximately 30 minutes.  School will be dismissed immediately following the program.  If you are unable to attend, please make sure that you have someone to pick up your child by 11:00.

Box Tops:  Please remember to put your child’s box tops in an envelope with his name on it.  Remember at the end of the year we will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.  Unfortunately “Tom the Turkey” was not fully dressed so homework passes cannot be granted.  However, we have started the next contest.

Starting December 1 through February 27, we will build “Frosty the Snowman”.  Frosty needs 10,000 box tops to be complete. 500 box tops equals one snowman piece.   If Frosty is completely dressed by February 27, Mr. Terry will kiss a pig in front of the whole school (preschool and elementary)!!!!
