In 1984, with the completion of the new First Presbyterian Church on Smythe Street, a committee was formed to organize a kindergarten as a part of the outreach of the church. Much thought, prayer and research went into its organization. The kindergarten started with a program for 3, 4 & 5 year olds and approximately 30 children.
Today, with the kindergarten being part of the Presbyterian Day School, our PDS Pre-K program caters to 1 through 4 year old children 5 days a week. We also offer Mother’s Morning Out for 1 and 2 year olds as well as after school care for 2 through 4 year olds. Our current enrollment is approximately 100 children. The Lord has used this school to spread the gospel and to develop the minds of these children. We thank God for His faithfulness.
